the best way to keep track of submission is by visiting
each major engine and using finding out how they allow you
to verify your listing. For example, Lycos has an actual
verifier to find if your site is listed, while AltaVista
requires you type in 'url:http://www.yourname.com'
in a search.
You
will want to resubmit if you have difficulty finding your
site in any major engines (engines have been known to drop
sites for no apparent reason, that's why we provide
unlimited resubmissions for life). But be patient, don't
resubmit if you can't find your site within a day after
submitting, this could get your site banned from a search
engine.
After
you get a better feel for your web site's keywords and
title (which contains keywords), you will want to resubmit
to improve placement under better targeted keywords that
you may have not known about before.
