Now you can check to see your links from the Search Engines and other sites, this will give you an idea where you getting your traffic from. If your listing with a search engine is not in one of the top 30 to 50 positions, then you are losing up to 90% of the traffic that search engine could be generating to you. To get your listing in one of the top 30 positions is not an easy task because of the fierce competition for positions. 

     However, it is possible if you know how search engines work. Remember, search engines place web pages based on the relevancy score calculated for your web page for any given key phrase searches. 

     The higher your score, the higher your web page's position. Each search engine calculates position using algorithms. Each different algorithm uses different aspects of your web page, and weighs those components, to calculate your page's relevancy score. 

     If you are aware what these components are, then you can design a page which will have a high relevancy score, to place your page in one of the top positions.
