E-mail
Marketing |
The
only reason you should send out multiple e-mails is if
people request it. For example, by subscribing to a
newsletter. Never send unsolicited e-mail. SVList
is a good program for managing mailing lists.

Spam
(Junk/Mass E-mail)
Don't
send it at all. Sure it might get a few people to your site,
but it ruins the reputation of your web site and it's very
rude. Your web site will most likely get black listed in
newsgroups and you will receive hate mail. You will also
receive hate mail from most recipients.
It's
a good chance your ISP will cancel your account. Sometimes
if your web host finds out, they will also cancel your
hosting account if you promote your site with spam.
Reducing
Junk E-Mail
To
"bust" a spammer, look at the header in the spam
to see what domain it came from, then forward it to that
domain's abuse e-mail address.
Example:
"Received from mail.aol.net"
Forward it to abuse@aol.net.
If
you don't see a "true" domain, check the IP
address in the header by going to checkdomain.com
and always include the header in the forward.
